The California Highway Patrol reported a rollover crash on Sunday.
The accident occurred on Highway 126, on the ramp from northbound Wells Road. It happened at around 3:45 a.m.
According to the officials, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was driving from Wells onto the ramp when it went off the road and hit a tree. The car then burst into flames.
The driver was critically injured and pronounced dead at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the car.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by the authorities.
The authorities are still investigating the fatal crash.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
The authorities have reported that the truck may have been speeding before the crash occurred.
