A fatal single-vehicle accident occurred on Friday morning in Kittitas County, approximately seven miles west of Cle Elum on Interstate 90. The motor vehicle accident reported around 11:30 a.m., involved a vehicle veering off the roadway and rolling.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, an unidentified driver, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. He was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Jeremy Weber confirmed that the cause of the accident is under investigation. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. Authorities continue to examine the circumstances leading to the fatal crash.
