According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist was killed in a motor vehicle crash near Sweetwater Reservoir on Friday.
On Friday roughly at 1:30 p.m., a motorcyclist was trying to cross another vehicle on an elevated stretch when he lost control of his vehicle, The vehicle then slammed into the bridge in southbound state route 125. This occurred east of Sweetwater Summit Regional Park in Chula Vista.
The driver of the motorcycle was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the motorcyclist is not disclosed yet.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal crash. No further information is available at the moment.
