According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Carson City on Sunday.
The crash happened in the southbound lane of I-580 near Carson City Washoe County line at around 1 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle suffered major injuries during the crash. He was flown by a Care flight and later pronounced dead at the scene by the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The deceased victim was ejected from the vehicle after the crash. The vehicle caused a fully involved fire.
The officials are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
