According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Beaumont on Monday. The crash happened on southbound Highway 79, near County Landfill Dump Road at around 8:30 a.m.
According to the investigators, a 2011 Hyundai Elantra and an unknown person were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the Hyundai driver lost control of their vehicle, veered off the highway, and rolled down an embankment.
The Hyundai driver suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead following the collision. The Beaumont Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
