Tragedy struck at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas, as a vehicle crashed into the emergency room, resulting in one fatality and injuries to at least five others, officials confirmed Tuesday.
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services reported the motor vehicle accident on social media, stating that emergency responders arrived at the fatal crash following a call at 5:38 p.m. local time.
The driver, identified as Michell Holloway, was pronounced dead after efforts to revive her. Two children and two adults were hospitalized, with one child and one adult in critical condition.
The fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
