A tragedy struck northeast of Apache Junction as a man was discovered dead in a crashed black SUV on Tuesday night. The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that the SUV was found approximately 150 feet down from a ridge off State Route 88 around 9:45 p.m.
Superstition fire and rescue crews recovered the man’s body on Wednesday morning.
As of now, the identity of the deceased has not been established.
Deputies are diligently investigating the circumstances leading to the fatal crash, seeking answers to the unsettling motor vehicle accident. With limited information available at this time, the community awaits further details to understand the sequence of events that led to this fatal outcome.
