Early Tuesday morning, a hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a yet-to-be-identified individual. Cleveland EMS responded to the scene at the intersection of E. 55th Street and Superior Avenue following a call around 1:30 a.m.
Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival. Law enforcement officers closed off the area for several hours as they conducted their investigation. As of now, no details have emerged regarding the suspect’s vehicle or the victim’s identity.
Further details are pending as the investigation continues. It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role in this devasting fatal hit-and-run crash.
