1 Person Killed In A Hit-And-Run Crash In Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

The Bakersfield Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident in Bakersfield on March 29. The crash occurred around 9:21 p.m. near Buck Owens Boulevard. 

According to the authorities, a pedestrian was struck by a motorist while crossing Buck Owens Boulevard outside of a designated crosswalk. The victim was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed at the moment.

According to the BPD news release, the vehicle involved in the crash was a white hatchback. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene following the collision, prompting an ongoing investigation by law enforcement authorities. It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played any role in the collision.
