1 Person Killed In A Hit-And-Run Collision In San Jose (San Jose, CA)

According to the San Jose Police Department, a man was killed in a hit-and-run collision in San Jose on Sunday. 

Roughly at 12:34 a.m., a woman was driving a 2016 Range Rover SUV eastbound on Capitol Expressway. She struck a man who was walking on the same pathway. The man was immediately transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead later. 

The woman who struck the man escaped the scene. However, she was later arrested for felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter. The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. 

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated.
