A fatal hit-and-run accident occurred on Tuesday morning in Yolo County. A pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle on State Route 113. The incident was reported at around 5:01 a.m., prompting the response of CHP Woodland Area officers.
The collision took place as the unknown vehicle was travelling southbound on SR-113 to the Main Street transition ramp. Following the crash, the driver fled the scene.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle involved. The influence of drugs and alcohol in the fatal crash is currently unknown.
