According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Walnut Creek. The crash happened on Southbound I-680 at around 4:30 a.m.
According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and an unknown pedestrian were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian on the freeway and fled the scene.
The unknown pedestrian suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Walnut Creek Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
