A hit-and-run accident in western Travis County late Monday night resulted in the death of a male pedestrian. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 11:51 p.m. on westbound SH 71 near the intersection of Paleface Ranch Road.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the victim was possibly hit by a 1994–2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. Regrettably, the vehicle’s driver failed to stop and aid the victim, prompting investigators to seek the individual for questioning.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating this fatal hit-and-run crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
