The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department reported a hit-and-run accident in Tacoma on Monday morning. The accident occurred in the 11000 block of Waller Road East at around 7:50 a.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle and a bicycle were involved in a collision. The events leading up to the collision are not entirely clear at this time.
The bicyclist was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time. The vehicle fled the scene before the police could arrive.
The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. The officials suspect the accident to have been done on purpose. There are no other details available at this time.
