A tragic double hit-and-run occurred late Sunday night in Oakland. The accident happened on Highway 13, resulting in the death of one person.
The hit-and-run accident began with a crash involving a Zipcar and a black sedan, where the sedan’s driver fled the scene. Subsequently, as the Zipcar’s driver and passenger stood near the vehicle, another black sedan approached, swerved, and struck the passenger.
This fatally injured the passenger and they were pronounced dead at the scene. The second sedan’s driver fled the fatal crash, leaving the victim behind. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. Authorities are searching for both hit-and-run drivers involved in this fatal collision on Highway 13, south of Lincoln Avenue.
