A tragic hit-and-run accident in the Florence neighborhood of South Los Angeles claimed the life of a pedestrian late Sunday evening. The collision occurred around 10 p.m. near Avalon Boulevard and 81st Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities reported that the vehicle involved, of unknown make and model, fled the scene, last seen heading southbound on Avalon Boulevard. With SkyCal overhead, police were observed surveying the area around a white canopy covering the victim’s body in the street.
