The Houston Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident on Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred at 243 Julia Street and Bauman Road just before 4 p.m. 

According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in a collision. An Oak Forest postal truck was taking a left on Julia Street and a vehicle behind it was trying to go around him. The vehicle clipped the back of the truck. 

This caused the postal truck to fall into the ditch and onto a postal worker. The postal worker was fatally injured and was pronounced dead despite nearby people trying to give aid. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. A number of witnesses have described the driver and the car involved in the crash.
