A fatal hit-and-run incident occurred just south of downtown Everett, prompting a police investigation. The tragic hit-and-run accident unfolded around 5:30 a.m.
According to the officials, a man and a vehicle were involved in a collision. The man was crossing the road when he was struck by the vehicle.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. The vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene before the police could arrive.
The fatal crash took place near northbound I-5 to Broadway, an area with freeway-like conditions and occasional jaywalking issues.
