According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Carlsbad on Sunday. The crash happened south of Tamarack Avenue at around 11:28 a.m.
According to the investigators, an unknown person and an unknown train were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident are not yet known at this time.
The officials stated that the unknown person suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Carlsbad Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
Some portions of the south of Tamarack Avenue are blocked for further investigation. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
