1 Person Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Buckeye (Buckeye, AZ)

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 10 in the Buckeye area, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The accident occurred in the eastbound lanes near Verrado Way at around 1:30 a.m. 

According to the officials, a man and a vehicle were involved in a collision. The man was walking along the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes near Verrado Way around 1:30 a.m. The driver veered into the shoulder, striking the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the man has not been disclosed at this time. As of now, no descriptions of the driver or the vehicle involved have been released. Following the incident, drivers were temporarily diverted to exit at Verrado, but the freeway reopened around 7 a.m. Authorities are investigating the fatal crash.
