The Albuquerque Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday, last week. The accident occurred on Louisiana and Constitution at around 11 p.m.
According to the officials, a red Ford Focus was headed south on Louisiana when it hit a person. The person had been crossing the road at the time of the crash.
The victim was critically injured and rushed to a hospital where they were pronounced dead. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The officials have reported that the car fled the scene after the collision. It had suffered some damage in the form of a broken headlight. The car also had a black hood with a spare tire on the front passenger side.
The fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. There are no other details available at this time.
