The Albuquerque Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident in a busy northeast Albuquerque road on February 5. The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. near Tramway and Menaul.
According to police reports, a red scooter traveling south on Tramway was struck by a car, resulting in the driver being thrown onto the roadway. The victim was fatally injured and first responders pronounced the scooter driver dead at the scene. The driver of the car fled the scene, prompting the Albuquerque Police Department to seek information regarding a white 2018-2020 Honda Accord believed to be involved.
Investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing as the victim’s identity remains undisclosed. The suspect vehicle likely sustained significant damage to the front end and is missing the bottom driver’s side front bumper and fog light.
