According to the Midland Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Friday in Midland. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the pedestrian accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 900 block of S. Midkiff Road. A truck, along with a flatbed trailer, tried to make a left turn. While doing so, the vehicle and trailer went onto the centre median and struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, who was seeking money from drivers in the roadway, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Insights into the identity of the deceased remain unknown.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined. The crash continues to be investigated by the MPD.
