1 Person Killed In A Fatal Pedestrian Crash In Irvine (Irvine, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Tuesday in Irvine.

Officials confirmed one person died due to the pedestrian accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred across the northbound 405 off MacArthur Boulevard.

A male pedestrian ran across the southbound area when he was struck by a vehicle when he crossed into the northbound HOV lane.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed. 

There have been no other details reported regarding the vehicle involved. 

No further details pertaining to the accident were released. 

The reason behind the pedestrian running across lanes remains unknown.

The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
