According to the Sugar Land Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday in Sugar Land. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the multi-vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred on the Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land.
The wreck involved three vehicles in total. Two of the vehicles flipped over and left one person dead at the scene of the accident. Other details including the identity of the victim remain unknown.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. The crash continues to be investigated by the SLPD.
The wreck impacted several of the southbound lanes of US-59 between Highway 90 and Dairy Ashford Road.
