According to the Stockton Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday night in Stockton. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on South Stanislaus Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Three vehicles collided with one another.
The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed at this time. 24-year-old Jose Neri was arrested on charges of DUI and manslaughter.
The cause of the accident has been identified as the influence of alcohol or drugs. The crash continues to be investigated by the SPD.
