According to the Arizona Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday morning in Sacaton.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
According to troopers, the incident involved two semis and a car, all of which struck a man who was on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Casa Blanca Rd, just north of Sacaton, at approximately midnight. All three vehicles remained at the scene, and their drivers cooperated fully with investigators.
The freeway was temporarily closed for several hours during the early morning but reopened around 5:30 AM.
At this time, no further information has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing to determine why the man was on the freeway. His identity has not been revealed yet.
