According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Tuesday morning in Richville. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Highway 162 and Highway 99. A pedestrian woman was struck by three vehicles.
The woman was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Two vehicles remained at the spot, while one vehicle fled the scene. Insights pertaining to the identity of the deceased person remain unknown
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP. it is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
