According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday in Madera County.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Paxton Street just east of Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway.
Six vehicles were supposedly involved in the wreck.
A semi was seen at the spot of the accident, but its involvement remains unknown.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The identities of those involved have not been disclosed.
All lanes of the freeway were closed pending an investigation.
The wreck continues to be investigated by the CHP.
