According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday in Yolo County. Officials confirmed that one person died and three others were injured due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Old River Road and County Road 124. A sedan and a pickup truck collided head-on with one another.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Three occupants from the sedan were transported to the hospital sustaining injuries. Other insights including the identity of the victim remain unknown.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
