According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported in Vacaville. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near the Cherry Glen Road off-ramp. A Dodge Durango was going westbound at a high rate of speed when it suddenly overturned. As a result of this, one passenger was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
The driver of the vehicle was rushed to the hospital, sustaining injuries. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the wreck is suspected to be the influence of drugs or alcohol. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
