According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday evening in Scottsdale. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Loop 101, near Mountain View Road. The driver of a pickup truck rear-ended an SUV.
This resulted in both vehicles steering towards the right side of the roadway. Subsequently, the pickup rolled into a canal, and the SUV got stuck and entangled in a guardrail.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The cause of the collision is yet to be determined. The crash continues to be investigated by the ADPS.
