According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in San Pedro. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near South Meyler Street and West Paseo Del Mar. The driver of the vehicle drove it off a cliff.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The identity of the driver is yet to be released. The cause of the accident is pending determination.
The involvement of alcohol or drugs remains unknown. The crash continues to be investigated by the LAPD.
