According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported in San Mateo County. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Interstate 280, near Sneath Lane. A black Honda Accord overturned on the right-hand shoulder.

The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Other insights pertaining to the collision are yet to be determined. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.

The cause of the accident has not yet been named. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
