According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday in San Fernando. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on the westbound freeway and Hubbard Street exit. A vehicle slammed into the back of a semi-truck.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The deceased person was named as either the driver or passenger of the vehicle that struck the semi. Insights pertaining to the identity of the deceased person remain unknown.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
