According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday in Riverside County. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Indian Canyon Drive, near Highway 62 in Desert Hot Springs. Two vehicles travelling in the roadway struck one another.
As a result of this, one person was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Another victim was rushed to the hospital sustaining critical injuries.
Insights pertaining to the identities of the victims and descriptions of the vehicles involved are pending release. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
The crash is being investigated by the CHP.
