According to the Marana Police Department, a fatal crash was reported in Marana. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the Massingale Railroad crossing. A person was struck by a moving train. The events leading up to this are not entirely clear at this time.
The person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Insights pertaining to the identity of the deceased person remain unknown.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. Other details are pending release. The crash continues to be investigated by the MPD.
