According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Friday in Lincoln. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the area of Twelve Bridges and Ridgecrest Drives. Two vehicles struck one another. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time. 

As a result of this, one of the drivers was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The identity of the deceased driver remains unknown.

The cause of the accident is yet to be released. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.  The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
