According to the Irving Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Friday evening in Irving. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Interstate 635. A vehicle was going eastbound in a westbound lane. As a result of this, it collided head-on with another vehicle.
The drivers of both vehicles were critically injured and were transported to the hospital. The passenger inside the vehicle that was struck was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
Other insights pertaining to the accident are yet to be released. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the IPD.
