According to the Garland Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday in Garland. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred eastbound on Interstate 30. The driver of a big rig struck a concrete barrier. Subsequently, he entered the westbound lane of traffic.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The identity of the person is yet to be determined.
The cause of the accident has not been released. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
The crash continues to be investigated by the GPD. There are no other details available at this time.
