The Chandler Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. The accident happened just north of Armstrong Place at around 4 a.m.
According to police, a parking lot sweeper ran off the road and collided with a pole holding up a city message board.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other reported injuries.
The driver’s identity and the possible causes of the collision have not been disclosed by the police. The fatal crash is being investigated by the police. During the investigation, local streets were shut down for more than six hours, but they have since reopened.
