According to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred on I-10 near the exit of Winnie, east of Houston.
A vehicle crashed into a fence on the side of the highway.
The driver of the crashed car was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Further details including the identity of the deceased person and description of the vehicle involved remain unknown.
The cause of the wreck is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. The crash continues to be investigated by the CCSO.
