According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday in Beaumont.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on the southbound 79, near the turnoff for the Lamb Canyon Landfill.
The driver of a sedan lost control of the vehicle and therefore flipped onto its roof.
The driver was ejected into the roadway as a result of the turnover.
Other details pertaining to the accident including the identity of the victim have not been released yet.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
