According to the San Francisco Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday morning in San Francisco.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of 16th Street and Potrero. A vehicle struck another thereby causing the wreck.
The person in the second vehicle succumbed to his injuries, despite life-saving efforts. The suspect driver also sustained injuries due to the accident. Other details including the identity of the victim or the vehicles involved remain unknown.
The cause of the wreck is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. The crash continues to be investigated by the SAPD.
