According to the Rialto Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday night. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Santa Ana Avenue. A moving vehicle struck a woman in the roadway. The driver fled from the place of the accident.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. There were no available reports on the description of the vehicle involved.
Other information including the identity of the deceased is yet to be determined. The crash continues to be investigated by the RPD.
