According to the Pharr Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Pharr. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on the 500 block of East Interstate 2 Frontage Road. A man was struck by a Ford. The driver of the Ford fled the scene.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Information regarding the identity of the deceased man remains unknown.
The involvement of alcohol or drugs is pending determination. The crash continues to be investigated by the PPD. There are no other details available at this time.
