According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported at Livermore. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run crash.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Interstate 580. A tan Chevrolet Camaro was struck by a Toyota.
The passenger in the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The driver and passenger in the Chevrolet fled from the spot of the accident.
Other insights pertaining to the collision remain unknown. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The involvement of drugs or alcohol is yet to be determined. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
