According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Friday in Lemon Grove.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on State Route 94 near College Avenue.
A female driving a Nissan was stuck by a Chrysler 300.
This resulted in sending the Nissan down an embankment.
The woman driving the Nissan was ejected from the vehicle.
The suspect driver of the Chrysler 300 abandoned his vehicle and was seen walking down the street.
He was arrested by the police officers.
Other details including the identity of the victim remain unknown.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
