According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash occurred in Vallejo Saturday morning.
Authorities stated that the crash happened south of the I-80 exit for American Canyon road at around 1:39 p.m. According to the police, an unknown person suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Vallejo Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the deceased person.
The Vallejo Police are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash. Some portions of the I-80 exit for American Canyon road are blocked for further investigation.
