According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported near the entrance of the San Francisco- Oakland Bay Bridge toll plaza.
The officials stated that one person died in the collision.
The crash occurred on westbound Interstate 80 near West Grand Avenue, west of the MacArthur Maze at around 4:53 a.m according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Alameda County Coroner’s office arrived on the scene at around 6:30 a.m.
The victim was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
The officials have not disclosed the identity of the deceased.
No additional information regarding the crash is available at the moment.
